We are pleased to report that Fr.Craig W.M. Friedley has appointed Maria Gloria Navarro and Sharon Gilbert to coordinate all Spanish and English ministries related to liturgy in our parish. Included are: MassCaptains, Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC), Music Ministers, Ushers, AltarBoys, Young Lady Sacristans and Adult Sacristans.
Parishioners who are not currently participating but wish to explore and/or participate in any of the above ministries should contact either Maria Gloria or Sharon via email.
Anyone involved in parish ministry here at Our Lady of Guadalupe (OLOG) will complete Safe Environment Training (SET) before active ministry begins. Contact Harold Morazan via the parish office to schedule required training (480-987-0315). Additionally, all volunteers serving in public ministry here at OLOG agree to follow all Church teachings and attest to it by signing the Oath of Fidelity, kept on file in the parish office.
On Monday, March 16, 2015 in Highberger Hall from 6:00PM to 8:00PM the first general meeting for all English and Spanish ministries requires your attendance.
For the nurturing and constant growth of the People of God, Christ the Lord instituted in His Church a variety of ministries, which work for the good of the whole body. For those ministers, who are endowed with sacred power, serve their brethren, so that all who are of the People of God, and therefore enjoy a true Christian dignity, working toward a common goal freely and in an orderly way, may arrive at salvation (#18, Lumen Gentium, Dogmatic Constitution on the Catholic Church).
